Basketball Officials Training Spring 2019 |
Q. How much does the training cost and when is it due, and what does it cover? A. Training and registration will be $30 for new officials. This fee makes you eligible to be scheduled to PSA Basketball games in all locations for the next 2 seasons of PSA games, over 20 weeks of games. You can pay in cash or check, with checks payable to Texas Referees Online. You can also pay with a credit card by clicking on the link below.
Q. How much can I earn as a referee? A. PSA pays its referees based on the value they bring to the game. First year officials with no experience will earn between $12-$18 per game, but that can change quickly. Those with experience can earn between $19-$22 per game, based on performance.
Q. When are the games and what grade levels will I work? A. Summer league games are played Monday through Thursday night, from 6-10 PM. You will be assigned games based on your experience level and our needs and based on the times you can work.
